Yes. Elevation and forested terrain often make temperatures several degrees cooler than surrounding areas.

Popular scenic drives include Needles Highway, Iron Mountain Road, Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway, and Wildlife Loop Road.

The burros can often be found along Wildlife Loop Road in Custer State Park.

Yes. The memorial is beautifully illuminated after sunset and many guests enjoy the evening lighting program.

Many guests enjoy visiting Crazy Horse Memorial to learn about Native American history and culture while viewing the mountain carving in progress.

Yes. Popular family-friendly hikes include Sylvan Lake Shore Trail, Roughlock Falls, and portions of the Mickelson Trail.

Many families hike Black Elk Peak, but it is a moderately strenuous trail and may be challenging for younger children.

Cell service can be limited in some areas of the Black Hills. Most properties offer Wi-Fi to help guests stay connected.

Vacation rentals provide more space, privacy, full kitchens, outdoor living areas, and the opportunity to experience the Black Hills like a local.

Summer and major event dates often book several months in advance. We recommend booking early to secure your preferred property.

Check-in begins at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. This schedule allows our housekeeping team adequate time to prepare the home for incoming guests while giving departing guests a relaxed morning before their journey home.

Early check-in and late check-out requests are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. Please contact us prior to your arrival or departure, and we'll do our best to accommodate your request. Both are $40, and we will add that to your reservation if we can accommodate you.

Arrival instructions, including the property address, directions, and door access code, will be sent approximately 1 day before your arrival.

No. All of our properties offer convenient self-check-in, allowing you to go directly to your vacation home and begin enjoying your Black Hills getaway. You will get your check-in code one night prior.
